Police Officer Job Application
Application Deadline: Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.
Salary: $80,896.19 – $126,641.98
Minimum Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver’s license
- 21 years of age by the date of the final eligibility list being posted unless qualified for an exemption
- Under 35 years of age at time of hire unless otherwise the candidate has a qualified exemption
- Vision in each eye correctable to 20/20 and shall not be colorblind
- Successful completion of POWER test with a licensed agency within one (1) year prior to the written exam
Required Documentation due 10/14/2025:
- Confirmed online application (available after download)
- Consent and release agreement (available after download)
- Copy of high school diploma or equivalent (copy of college diploma will not be accepted in lieu of this document)
- Copy of valid driver’s license
- Copy of birth record as proof of citizenship – May include: State/County issued birth certificate, valid U.S. passport, or naturalization papers
- Copy of POWER test card dated 11/8/2024 – 11/8/2025 (due at time of written exam)
Orientation & Written Exam Information:
Candidates must attend the mandatory orientation and written examination on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Doors open for sign-in at 8:30 a.m. Please arrive no later than 9:00 a.m. with a photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, military ID) to sign in. Doors will lock at 9:00 a.m. and no one will be permitted to enter late. The test will be held in Darien, IL – exact location will be released to eligible candidates.
