Police Officer Job Application
Application Deadline: Friday, September 12, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.
Starting Salary: $80,300 – Top Salary: $117,277 (currently in salary negotiations)
Minimum Requirements:
- $25.00 non-refundable application fee
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED); Associate’s degree or 60 college semesters hours preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- 21 to under 35 years of age at time of appointment, unless otherwise exempt by statute
- Must possess a valid POWER test card issued by a certified testing agency and dated no more than 12 months prior to test day.
- 20/100 binocular vision corrective to 20/20. Must demonstrate appropriate peripheral vision; no color blindness
Required documentation due by the application deadline:

- Consent and Release Agreement (2 pages) – available after purchase
- Copy of high school diploma or equivalent
- Copy of valid driver’s license
- Copy of birth record as proof of citizenship or legal authorization to work in U.S.: can include: county/state-issued birth certificate, U.S. passport, naturalization papers, permanent residency card, work visa
- Copy of valid POWER test card dated no earlier than October 11, 2024 (due by time of exam)
Mandatory Written Examination:
Saturday, October 11, 2025
Doors will open for sign in at 8:00 a.m., please arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. with a photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, military ID) to sign-in. Test will be held at: Hubble Middle School, 3 S 600 Herrick Rd., Warrenville, IL 60555
