Police Officer Job Application

Current Starting Salary: $56,000 with an increase after 12 months
Minimum Requirements:

Valid state-issued driver’s license

Minimum of 21 years of age AND shall be under the age of 35 by the application deadline date (8/30/2019) unless exempt from such age limitation as provided in Section 5/10-2.1-6 of the Fire and Police Commissioners Act.

Be a high school graduate or possess a G.E.D. equivalent

Possess a valid POWER test card dated within 12 months of the written exam

Must successfully complete an oral interview

Must successfully complete a background investigation (applicants will be required to fully disclose all personal matters, to include agreements and sealed files)

Must successfully complete a psychological evaluation and medical physical (including drug and alcohol screening)

Testing and Orientation Information:
Candidates must attend the mandatory orientation and written examination on September 21, 2019. Testing will be held in Lyons, IL – Exact location will be released to eligible candidates.
