IO Solutions has developed and maintains approximately 40 unique examinations that are distributed nationwide. Exams range from entry-level basic abilities tests to promotional knowledge exams and integrity assessments to emergency medical services certification exams. All exams have been carefully validated and are ready to be used by your agency. IO Solutions offers agencies assistance in locally validating or transporting our off-the-shelf products to ensure that the test will be valid for your specific application .

Exams
Testing Materials: Agency is provided the testing materials necessary for testing, including: Test booklets, answer sheets, administration guide, and test administration script. Shipping cost is not included in the Lease price.
Answer Sheet Scanning: Completed answer sheets are electronically scanned by trained test scoring specialists.
Data Cleaning: All data is “cleaned” by test scoring specialists to correct any errors that result from candidate error or scanner error.
Data Scoring: Data is scored by our proprietary algorithms and verified for accuracy by test scoring specialists.
Scoring Report Generation: Scoring reports will be provided to the agency and will list candidate’s demographics, his/her scores and his/her passing status on the examination, if applicable. Several reporting options, such as overall score reporting and score breakdown reporting, are available.
Re-stocking of Unused Testing Materials: We will restock any unused test booklets without additional fees.
Transportability Analysis: We will conduct a summary analysis to ensure that the use of any of our entry-level testing products is valid for your agency. This analysis requires agency participation.

What do I need to administer and IOS exam?
Giving an IOS exam is simple! You only need a location, timer, test booklet and pencil. Exams can also be given online. The NFSI comes with a user’s manual that includes simple directions. IOS exams are usually sent through a carrier service with a tracking number and then managed by local personnel.
Can I administer an IOS exam in any location?
IOS has a couple of options for helping agencies that want to test applicants in remote locations. First, IOS exams can be run online. This allows you to direct and score an exam anywhere you have a supervisor, computer and internet connection. Second, IOS has a partnership with PearsonVUE. This allows IOS exams to be given at any PearsonVUE Professional Testing Center around the nation. This also allows exams to be given on international military bases. This solution is perfect for agencies that recruit nationally, wish to test deployed military candidates, or wish to create a repeated testing program using a lot of convenient testing sites.

Our off-the-shelf (OTS) exams are developed with this explicit purpose, to measure job-related knowledge, skills and abilities. The first step in developing any of our off-the-shelf (OTS) exams is a job analysis . Our team of I/O psychologists expertly gathers information about a given job through incumbent interviews, job observations and job analysis questionnaires. This information is then distilled down to the critical elements of the job, and the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities are identified and linked to these critical elements. Each OTS exam is reviewed by experts to ensure it is psychometrically sound and job-related.

Each IO Solutions exam has been developed to rigorous specifications and is supported by validity evidence. However, the legal system tends to favor local validity evidence . Because we are concerned about legally supporting all our exams, we offer assistance with both local validation and transport validity evidence for our OTS exams. Through these methods and the generalized evidence of validity we gather during development and ongoing R&D efforts, our OTS exams have a never legally been challenged successfully.
