About IOS Remote Testing:
IOS is invested in helping your agency recruit and hire the best applicant for critical public safety positions. We recognize that attracting qualified applicants for police and fire positions has become more difficult in recent years. We believe that affording you flexibility in administering exams beyond typical recruitment boundaries, using computer-based technology, is an important tool in this effort.
Police & Fire recruitment efforts have had to expand well beyond state lines, which can put agency staff under high stress. IOS Remote Testing services provides agencies with the opportunity to test candidates securely from their own home, making testing more convenient and manageable. Using a combination of computer-based technology and live proctors, agencies can rest assure their testing process remains secure and fair for all candidates.

Remote Testing Overview:
Determine Test Session Count
IOS Remote Testing can accommodate up to 15 candidates per test session. We can host 8 sessions (4 morning and 4 afternoon) per day. Total session count will be determined by the final number of eligible candidates eligible to test.
The number of sessions you host will also determine your price per session. Contact IOS for current pricing.
Choose Test Date & Times
IOS offers remote exams on Weekdays only (excluding holidays) at 8:30am CST and 1:00pm CST. You will work with an IOS Project Manager to select testing dates within your desired timeframe, subject to IOS availability. When selecting your dates, please consider that IOS asks for your final candidate list 2 weeks prior to the first test session.
The Candidate Experience
Once the candidate list is finalized, candidates receive a link to an IOS Remote Testing Candidate Portal. This portal walks them through the remote testing process, allows them to schedule, and allows them to contact IOS Support. This link can be distributed by IOS, or you can send it directly to candidates.

Receive your Scores
You (the client) have the option to log directly into our testing portal and pull your own results, or the results can be pulled by IOS personnel and sent to you. IOS can help you determine which of these options is right for you. If it is your first time testing with IOS, we require an additional review of scores to monitor adverse impact.
Results are generated once all testing is complete.
