Firefighter/Paramedic Job Application

The application deadline is Monday, February 10, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.
Starting Salary: $63,654 – Top Salary: $98,345

Minimum Requirements:

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
No felony convictions
U.S Citizenship
Valid Driver’s License
At least 21 years of age by date of hire and under 35 years of age as of March 8, 2025, unless the individual falls under one of the exceptions to the statutory maximum hiring age detailed in 70 ILCS 705/16.06b(c). Proof of date of birth is required
Must successfully complete the Candidate Physical Ability Test with Ladder Climb Certification conducted by a licensed agency prior to hire date. Certifications are considered valid if dated within the last 12 months of hire date.
Pass comprehensive pre-employment screening process to include: background investigation, psychological exam and medical examination with drug testing.

Orientation and Testing:
Candidates must attend the mandatory orientation and written examination on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Sign-in begins at 8:00 a.m. and closes at 8:30 a.m.

Lake Villa Fire Station #3
1911 Grass Lake Rd.
Lindenhurst, IL

Candidates who required ADA accommodations must contact IOS Recruitment at least two weeks prior to the written exam date. All portions of the testing process are mandatory. Failure to attend and successfully complete any portion of the process will result in elimination from employment consideration.
