Police Officer Job Application

Starting Salary: $84,572.80

Minimum Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship or be legally authorized to work in the United States
High school diploma/GED
Valid driver’s license
At least 21 years of age as of September 27, 2024, and under 35 years of age at the time the eligibility list is posted, unless exempt by State Statute
No felony convictions
Submit proof of passing the Illinois POWER test within the past year at the time of your interview.

Required Documentation by 9/27/2024 at 2:00 PM (must be hand delivered or mailed – email submissions are not accepted):

Confirmed online application (available after download)
Consent and release agreement (available after download)
Copy of high school diploma/GED
Copy of valid driver’s license
Copy of documentation as proof of legal authorization to work in the United States – May include: U.S. County/State issued birth record (hospital copies are not accepted), valid U.S. passport, Naturalization papers, valid permanent resident card, or work authorization card
Optional copy of valid POWER card – due at time of oral interview

Orientation and Testing:
Candidates must attend the mandatory orientation and written examination on Saturday, October 26, 2024. The test will be held at:

Riverside Township Hall

27 Riverside Road

Riverside, IL 60546.

Doors will open at 8:00 AM and you must arrive to check-in before 8:30 AM. There will be no late admittance. Additional details will be provided to eligible candidates via email one week before the scheduled examination. Candidates who require ADA accommodations must contact IOS Recruitment at least two weeks prior to the written exam date.

All portions of the testing process are mandatory. Failure to complete any portion of the testing process will result in disqualification from the employment process.
